Key Account Manager Professional Solutions – Focus: Network, Server & AI

More recently, the specialist has developed its offer towards high added value solutions in the field of Artificial Intelligence and is now one of the major players in the field.

The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing PNY’s regional channel sales accounts. This person must be able to effectively communicate the PNY professional solutions, specialized in Network, Servers & AI, to customers and key partners, while deeply understanding their product, manufacturing, sales, and marketing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Identify, develop and manage sales relationships with strategic partners.
  • Build key accounts into strategic partners and drive sustaining business.
  • Drive sales partnerships with key B2B, WSI, VAR and other strategic channels.
  • Maintain a favourable relationship within the assigned account base while identifying opportunities to increase sales volume and assure that PNY products are professionally represented.
  • Develop, coordinate & execute all account management activities including sales objectives, goal deployment, P&L accountability, strategies, and promotional programs.
  • Work with the PNY product marketing department to identify customer-specific opportunities for new product programs. Work with all supporting functions to assure PNY performance meets customer expectations.
  • Analyse sales trends/performance against plan; provide product and sales forecasts as needed.
  • Develop and report technical changes, innovations, competitor actions and other developments observed within the marketplace.
  • Manage participation in sales meetings, conventions, trade shows as necessary.
  • Support other Sales National Accounts as needed.
  • The position is home based the person will have the ability to travel up to 50%.

Essential Skills / Experience

Experience of sales/business management in a Retail/Etail environment
  • Degree in Business or a related field is preferred; will consider equivalent work experience in sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, interpersonal, negotiation skills (both written and verbal), strategy development and problem resolution abilities.
  • A minimum of 4 or 5 years experience in Key Account Management is required. Work experience within major IT customers is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of the sales process and channel sales.
  • A detailed understanding of IT Infrastructure and Computing Architecture.
  • Very good understanding of computer hardware architecture
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Power Point).
  • Internals: Knowledge of all PNY Professional Solutions products & services
